Elk River Municipal Utilities currently operates three public charging stations in Elk River; one in the downtown parking lot where the Farmers Market is held, one in the ERMU parking lot adjacent to City Hall, and the other at the Coborn's fuel station off of Highway 169. The downtown and ERMU charging stations feature a 240 volt Level 2 Charger with two EV Plugs (J1772), and the charging station at Coborn's features a 480 volt DC Fast Charger with Chadmo and Combo charging EV Plugs.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The charging station is accessed through the ChargePoint network. Visit www.chargepoint.com for complete instructions and tech support.
The basic steps are:
- Access the charging station with a ChargePoint card, the ChargePoint smartphone app, or call the customer service number posted on the station.
- Once access has been granted through ChargePoint, plug in your EV or PHEV.
- ChargePoint will notify you via text message or email when your vehicle is done charging.
